Eating Eggs

Our multiple colored eggs are laid by our lovely ladies. One advantage to our chicken eggs, is that our hens live their entire natural lives with us. We do not harvest our hens after their peak egg laying years have passed. Our retired layers make great moms and teachers for our younger ladies.

We have a variety of non-flying ducks that lay us amazing rich jumbo eggs. Having non-flying breeds allows us to also let our ducks graze our open pastures also.

Our guinea hens are much more that pasture raised. Guineas are more wild than chickens and "fly the coop" everyday in search of the tastiest treats. Our guineas were brought to our farm first and foremost to seek out snakes on the property. Guinea hen eggs are smaller than chicken eggs but pack the punch that duck eggs have as far as flavor.

Our beautiful turkeys gift us HUGE eggs in the spring and fall. These delicacies are hard to come by because of just how few eggs turkeys lay each year. This is a sell out product at each market & event. Our turkeys enjoy the same free range pasture our other birds do, but with one big job. They are the protectors of the whole flock. Being deterrents to flying predators and running off smaller critters like feral cats and rodents, the turkeys have an important job.

In 2023, for the first time every, we will be offering pasture raised Goose eggs. Our ladies gift us the largest eggs produced on our farm while also keeping everyone in line. Geese make amazing guard dogs, so much so that our actual guard dog knows they will knock her down a notch or two if she isn't careful.

Our Coturnix quail are raised a little different than the rest of our birds. Because of their tiny size and their ability to fly, quail must be raised in fly pens to keep them safe. Our quail enjoy a HUGE fly pen with normal ground access so they can live their best life doing normal bird things.

Like our quail, our pheasant our Fly raised for their health and safety. They also enjoy an oversized fly pen so that they can also enjoy their life like everyone else on our farm.

 Quail meat is leaner, darker, and more flavorful than chicken. The perfect size for one person and very versatile. A favorite in our family, you can often find quail spatchcocked and roasted in cast iron skillets. On a beautiful fall evening you can find us with whole quail on the grill for an evening with friends.

Pheasant are a favored by chefs and huntsmen alike. This bird is smaller than the average sized chicken in the store, but packed with flavor and an amazing treat for any special occasion.

Our goat cuts are from our very own stock. We proudly raise our goats by hand on pasture. Milk raised by their moms right here on our farm and pastured until harvest. These grass fed goats are spoiled and live the high life, allowing us to provide good healthy meat locally butchered and USDA inspected for our family and yours.
